        Jeryl Parker was Born March 15, 1937 in Denver Colorado.
He grew up in Denver, later moved to California with his family and lived in Richmond and Palo Alto.  As a teenager he moved with his family to Washington DC and finally to Beirut, Lebanon for a year before leaving for Vienna to study music and painting in 1955 to 1957.  In 1957 he moved to London where he studied etching at the Central School with masters of the day.

        Jeryl began drawing at the age of 8 and painting at age 15.  While living in Washington he studied music and composition with Charles Seeger and Ester Williamson Bealieu. 

In 1963 Jeryl and Kathan Brown founded Crown Point Press in Point Richmond in the Bay Area. 

Jeryl began teaching at California College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland, CA  1964 to 1974:  Painting,  drawing and        printmaking.

Founded Jeryl Parker Editions etching studio in New York City 1980 to 1988.   The  studio worked primarily with        Parasol Press and Pace Gallery.

Moved to England, 1988 to 1991, returned to playing the piano, improvisation and composition; continued painting and         drawing.

Returned to New York, 1992  to 1995, then Berkeley California, 1995 – 1998

Moved to Sonoma County, 1998 and to Port Townsend in 2004.  Has been an artist  in the annual Port Townsend Studio         tour since 2005.

Continues to paint and play music and live life.
